Arabic Gum

Arabic Gum is produced from the Acacia Tree and grown in the Savannah / Arid Zones of Nigeria.

The type of gum in Nigeria is the Acacia Senegalese variety, which produces the Grade One gum while a second variety known as the Acacia Seyel, produces the grade two Gum. The image above is the Grade one gum.

There are diverse species of gum depending on the region of the world from which it is cultivated, we therefore encourage analytical testing of samples and approval prior to shipment. With this approach we have been able to avoid ambiguities in the export of gum Arabic.
